UTM and National Sports Institute (ISN) was involved in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange ceremony on September 18 2020 in Bukit Jalil in conjunction with ASN Inspire 2020 opening ceremony.
In the MoU exchange, UTM was represented by the Director of Institute of Human-Centered Engineering (iHumEn), Prof Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar while ISN was represented by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ahmad Faezal Md Ramli. Also present were the Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Dato’ Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, ISN Chairman Prof. Dato’ Dr. Rahmat Mohamad, and UTM Sports Innovation and Technology Centre (SITC) Director, Dr. Muhamad Noor Harun.
According to Prof Shahrizal, this MoU was sealed to enable sustainable cooperation and strategic development for service, research, and academics in the field of science, medicine, and technology. In the exhibition, SITC demonstrated some of its very own SPORTS 4.0 innovations such as Virtual Reality Rowing, CAVE Automatic Virtual Environment, Intelligent Drone Monitoring System, and Visual Signal Device for Deaf Sport.
