SITC received a visit from the Malaysian Deaf Sports Association (MSDeaf) on July 26, 2020. The MSDeaf delegates were led by their Deputy President, Mohd Yusri Abdul Ghani. The main objective was to discuss some latest issues on Visual Scene Display (VSD) Signal, which was developed by a SITC Research Fellow, Dr. Jaysuman Pusppanathan in collaboration with MSDeaf.
The aforementioned VSD Signal is directly used by deaf athletes who are fully dependent on this VSD graphic. While normal athletes listen to verbal instructions and gunshots at the starting line, deaf athletes use VSD Signals to focus and get ready. Also attending from MSDeaf were the Vice President 2, Yazid Bain, the Secretary-General, Kamarzaman Hj Harun, the Assistant Secretary[1]General, Mohd Shahril Saupi, the Treasurer Chan Kok Sheng, and Exco members, Roraziah Mohamad and Norbaya Mohamad Hoe.
