The Institute of Human-Centered Engineering (iHumEn) and its team members had the privilege of participating in the Ministry of Higher Education’s open day, held on October 23, 2023, at the Ministry of Higher Education in Putrajaya, Malaysia. iHumEn successfully set up a booth and showcased its latest research and innovations to the visitors.The event was officiated by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister. It was attended by key figures, including YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Minister of Higher Education, YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof Apdal, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, members of higher education top management, and representatives from various departments, agencies, and local higher education institutions.
An open-day event was held to showcase innovative products, research, and projects from different institutes of higher education. The event also included engaging panel discussions. Later in the day, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, arrived for a gallery walk, followed by a sharing session on the summary of a laboratory report by the NRC Committee Chairman, YBhg Dato’ Seri Idris Jala.The event concluded with a closing address by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. This open day is essential for collaboration and knowledge-sharing, showcasing higher education’s contributions to national development and promoting Malaysia’s dynamic and progressive educational landscape.
