The Medical Devices and Technology Centre (MEDITEC) organized a training session on universal mechanical testing of the Instron machine on October 1, 2023. The session was aimed at providing comprehensive support and technical expertise to participants.The training covered various aspects of the Instron machine, including compression, tensile strength, tension, three-point bending, cyclic loading, Young’s Modulus, elasticity, stiffness, yield strength, stress, fatigue tests, creep, stress relaxation, temperature-dependent behaviour, the stress-strain relationship. During the session, participants learned about system startup and load cell loading in the Bluehill software and the intricacies of mechanical testing.
