A meeting between SITC’s member, Dr. Jaysuman Pusppanathan together with Malaysian Deaf Sports Association (MSDeaf) was held on 17 January 2020 at the New York Hotel, Johor Bahru. In this discussion, Dr. Jaysuman designed Visual Signal Device (VSD), a set of release signal lights in sport events for deaf athletes. These VSDs are commonly used in 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 400 m, 4×100 m and 4×400 m sport events. With his expertise, upgrades and modifications to this device are guaranteed to keep device’s quality and to ease users at the upcoming SOPMA XXI 2020 Johor.
