The underground FPV drone race was held on January 27, 2024, in Putra Heights, Selangor. Organized by Amanah Raya Malaysia, the race was co-organized by several prominent partners, including Rotor Hazard Timing, RHCloud.com, Barracuda Tune, Drone for Speeds, Gemfan Prop, the Sports Innovation & Technology Centre (SITC), UTM, and the Drone Racing Association Malaysia (DRAM). The program was led by Ts. Dr. Jaysuman Pusppanathan, a Research Fellow at SITC, whose leadership helped guide the event to success.

A total of 26 participants participated in the race, featuring high-speed drone racing through challenging circuits and obstacles. The event aimed to create awareness about the thrilling world of drone sports while fostering technology readiness and building strong community bonds. Participants navigated their drones through complex courses, showcasing their technical skills and the advanced capabilities of their equipment. The race provided an engaging platform for drone enthusiasts to compete, learn, and connect with others who share their passion for this cutting-edge sport.

The event also strongly emphasized community building, fostering connections among participants, organizers, and the audience. The collaborative efforts of various co-organizers and sponsors underscored the importance of teamwork and innovation in drone racing. The race provided an opportunity for enthusiasts to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and inspire each other, contributing to the overall growth of the drone racing community in Malaysia.

The drone race successfully highlighted the growing interest in drone sports and emphasized the importance of technological innovation in this field.
