iHumEn fostering valuable insights and hands-on experience in digital proficiency through website management courses
The website management course organized by the Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn) in collaboration with the Media and Game Innovation Centre of Excellence (MaGICX) is set to empower students, staff, and researchers with essential skills in effectively managing and utilizing websites, specifically WordPress, for future endeavours. Mr Azizul Azman, Research Officer of MaGICX, successfully delivered the course.
The program aims to offer participants valuable insights and hands-on experience in operating a website, fostering proficiency in this critical aspect of the digital landscape. The day’s schedule comprises informative sessions, promising an enriching learning experience. Kicking off with Session 1, which provides a comprehensive introduction to WordPress, ensuring participants grasp the fundamentals.
The focus was shifted to website management, equipping attendees with practical knowledge on maintaining and optimizing their sites. A well-deserved break that offers participants a chance to recharge before delving into Session 2 at 2:30 p.m., which covers “Post and Page” management in depth. The day continued with a session on Plugins, exploring their vast functionalities.
Finally, the fruitful course was concluded, allowing participants to adjourn with newfound expertise and confidence in website management and WordPress utilization.
