JOHOR BAHRU, 09 May 2025 – The Institute of High Voltage and Applied Technology (IVAT) successfully organised a short course titled “Introduction and Implementation of MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and Internal Auditing” at Pulai Springs Resort, Johor Bahru. The initiative was part of IVAT’s upskilling and reskilling efforts to enhance staff competency in meeting the requirements of the MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.
The two-day course, facilitated by Ms. Anijah Pangat, Principal Consultant at SIRIM Academy, provided participants with in-depth exposure to the principles and implementation of the standard. Key focus areas included laboratory audit competencies, audit planning, and the effective execution of internal audits.
The organisation of this course underscores IVAT’s ongoing commitment to strengthening quality assurance and compliance with international standards among its academic staff, assistant engineers, and administrative personnel. This effort aligns with the university’s strategic goal to maintain excellence in the field of high voltage technology and testing.
