KUALA LUMPUR, 29 Sept - Representatives from the Marine Technology Centre (MTC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), attended and participated in Malaysia Maritime Week 2026 (MMW2026), joining policymakers, industry leaders and ecosystem partners to exchange ideas and strengthen collaboration towards a more resilient and future-ready maritime industry.
MMW2026 provided a national platform for discussions on maritime competitiveness, investment, digitalisation, security, transition readiness, seafarer welfare and workforce development. These conversations were anchored on three strategic pillars: Policy and Leadership, Capital and Technology, and Talent and Capability.

Through its participation, MTC UTM engaged with the wider maritime community, gained insights into emerging industry priorities, and explored opportunities to strengthen connections between academia, industry and policymakers. The five-day programme brought together high-level dialogue, industry showcases and ecosystem collaboration. MTC UTM’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting Malaysia’s maritime development through research, innovation, talent development and industry engagement.
