Second-year students from the Bachelor of Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering with Honours programme at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, are scheduled to visit MMHE, Pasir Gudang, in mid-November 2026. The annual educational visit forms part of the curriculum for SEMO 2713 — Ship Production, connecting classroom learning with practical exposure to ship production and shipyard operations.

The visit is being coordinated by Ir. Dr. Muhammed Amirul Asyraf bin Hasnan, Senior Lecturer at UTM and lecturer for the course. Through this visit, students will gain a better understanding of industrial practices and their application in naval architecture and offshore engineering.

Offered by the Ocean Engineering Panel, the programme is accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). Annual industry visits support students’ professional development and strengthen links between academic learning and the maritime industry.
