Associate Professor Dr Rozmi Bin Ismail, Phd
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rozmi bin Ismail (PhD) was a President of PSIMA (Malaysian Psychological Association) from July 2013- July 2015 and PSIMA Central Executive Committee from 2010 to present. Currently he is a senior Lecturer at the School of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He was Head of Psychology Program (2007-2009) and Head of Camp-Based Intervention Program, at the Centre for Youth Empowerment program UKM (Jan 2010-Jan 2015). At the Youth Empowerment Centre he has experience more than 5 years conducting Rehabilitation Program for Youth under PERMATA Negara (a program specifically design to rehabilitate Youth who involved in Illegal motorcycle street racing and other anti-social activities).
He was appointed as a one of the six members (Psychology Expert) of Panel of Investigation Chaired by Tun Hanif Omar for the Investigation of Bersih 3.0 incident by the Ministry of Home Affair from 1 Jun 2012 – January 2014.
He has been working in the field of psychology for more than 16 years and involved in research on mat rempit for more than five years. He was frequently appeared in mass media such as TV, newspapers and magazines to give an expert opinion about youth involvement in illegal racing activities in Malaysia. He has authored and co-authored over 40 research papers and technical reports and written more than 5 books including textbook.
He was frequently invited to deliver plenary talks at the international and local psychology conferences. He has experienced conducting several national and international workshops on psychology of driving and Youth involvement in Rempit activities. His current interests include youth and mat rempit phenomena, road safety among the youth, problematic youth and intervention program, managing problematic youth and positive youth development.

DR MONICA H. WALET
Dr. Monica is the Academic Director and Programme Director for Psychology and Post Graduate Studies at Raffles College of Higher Education. Prior to joining RCHE, she enriched and built her career by occupying various management positions in the academe as Associate Dean for Business & Psychology, Award Leader, Human Resource & Development Director, Psychology Area Chair, Head of the Guidance Counselling and Admissions Centre for private colleges and universities in Singapore and overseas.
In the applied field, she assisted in the creation of an assessment development centre for nonprofit leaders. She collaborated in the assessment validation of a foreign-made test through a multiparty project with local and government organisations. Currently, she is a volunteer in the Management Committee of Rotary Family Services Centre – Clementi and Membership Chair of Singapore Psychological Society. Among her research feat is the publication of an indigenous test that measures the value-laden traits and self-regulation tendencies of individuals in the work setting. Monica’s advocacy for mental health and well being is exemplified in her active involvement various conferences.
Recently she was Co-Chairperson of the Local Organising Committee for the Regional Congress of the World Federation for Mental Health, 1 – 3 October 2015; Fairmont Singapore and Co-Chairperson of the Scientific Committee for the ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies, 25 – 27 March, 2015; The Chevrons, Boon Lay Way, Singapore.
