The Centre for Sustainable Nanomaterials (CSNano), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), is pleased to announce the upcoming professional training programme entitled “Navigating ISO/IEC 17025 Elements and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Frameworks”, organised in conjunction with the UTM ASCEND 2030 initiative.

The programme will be held on 3 November 2026 (Tuesday), from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., at the Lecture Hall, Block N31, Ibnu Sina Institute, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

This eight-hour professional training programme aims to enhance participants’ understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) frameworks, metrological traceability, and laboratory personnel competency development. The training also supports laboratory quality management practices aligned with the Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia (SAMM).

The session will be conducted by Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. See Hong Heng, Research Fellow at CSNano and SAMM Accreditation Assessor, who will share his expertise and practical insights into laboratory accreditation and quality management.

The programme is open to laboratory personnel, researchers, students, academics, and industry professionals seeking to strengthen their technical knowledge and competencies in laboratory quality assurance and accreditation.

The registration fee is RM50 per person for students (subsidised fee) and RM150 per person for general participants. The fee includes training, a certificate, meals, and refreshments. Eligible participants may also receive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and merit points.
