History of ICFCHT
The International Conference on Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Technology (ICFCHT) has been organized collaboratively by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and Badan Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) Indonesia
About the ICFCHT
The International Conference on Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Technology (ICFCHT) is a significant event that brings together experts, researchers, and industry leaders to advance the knowledge and application of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. Established in 2007, the conference represents a collaboration between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) of Indonesia. In recent years, BPPT has undergone a reorganization and now operates under Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN).
The conference was conceived to address the growing demand for clean energy solutions and to foster regional and global cooperation in hydrogen energy research. Since its inception, ICFCHT has focused on discussing cutting-edge advancements in hydrogen production, fuel cell applications, and the policy frameworks necessary to support a sustainable hydrogen economy. The collaboration of key institutions ensures a multidisciplinary approach, combining academic insights with practical industrial and governmental strategies.
ICFCHT has hosted its sessions in Malaysia and Indonesia, reflecting the regional emphasis on advancing sustainable energy technologies in Southeast Asia. The event has grown into an influential platform, emphasizing innovations and strategies for achieving carbon neutrality and supporting the global energy transition
