ChM. Dr. Muhammad Amirul Aizat Mohd Abdah is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Chemistry in 2016 and completed his Ph.D. in Materials Science in 2019 from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). In 2020, he began his academic career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), followed by a second postdoctoral appointment at the Sunway Centre for Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology (SCEEST), Sunway University. Prior to joining UTM, he also served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at International Battery Center Sdn. Bhd. His research interests focus on nanofiber-based materials, two-dimensional (2D) materials, and carbon-based materials for advanced electrochemical energy storage systems, including rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors, and supercapatteries. He actively collaborates with International Battery Center Sdn. Bhd. (IBC) and Sunway University and is a member of the Green Chemistry Research Group (GChem). He has an H-index of 26 and has published extensively in reputable ISI-indexed journals in materials science and electrochemical energy storage.
